IMPORTANT NOTICE! YOUR BOOKING FOR THESE VACATIONS INVOLVES AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND THOSE WHO PROVIDE THE SERVICES. PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION THESE PAGES, SINCE IT SETS OUT THE CONDITIONS COVERING YOUR TRAVEL AND OTHER SERVICES OFFERED.
CLAIMS:
All claims must be received in writing by H.L holidays at its office not later than 21 days after the happening of the event causing the claim. This contract shall be subject to interpretation according to the laws of the province of Ontario and all claims must be commenced within Ontario.
DEPOSITS:
A deposit of $500.00 per person, for the land portion is required within 7 days without which reservation cannot be acted upon. If the chosen holiday is not availableor any suggested alternative is not acceptable, your deposit will be refunded in full. Also at the same time a deposit of $200.00 per person is required to confirm the airfare.
INCREASE IN COSTS:
Although every effort has been made to ensure the prices quoted in this brochure are correct, in the event of an error, the correct price shall apply. In the event of surcharge for fuel costs, dollar devaluation or other cost increase, H.L holidays reserves the right to increase the published price.
FINAL PAYMENT:
The balance is payable not later than 42 days prior to departure. If final payment is not received by the prescribed time H.L holidays reserves the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit. Passengers booking less than 42 days prior to departure, must pay the full amount at the time of booking. The total amount, less late booking charges (as shown hereafter) will be refunded if chosen holiday or acceptable alternative is not confirmed.rves the right to increase the published price.


LATE BOOKING CHARGES:
When bookings are received less than 60 days prior to departure, a charge of $30.00 per reservation is levied towards cable charges, and or communicationexpenses and administration costs. Charge still applies if selected holiday is not available and a suitable alternative is not found. For car and A La Carte bookings received less than 7 days late charges will be levied.


CHANGES:
Should any alterations be made in the original reservation booked (or the alternative accepted), a charge of $50.00, to cover communicationand administration costs will apply.


DOCUMENTS:
Documents will be sent out 2 weeks prior to departure and only after final payment is received.


DOCUMENTATION:
Canadian and U.S . Citizens require a valid passport for tours to Portugal and Spain. For any other nationalities and any health requirements please ask your travel agent.


CANCELLATION BY TOUR OPERATOR:
H.L. Holidays reserves the right to cancel any tour 21 or more days prior to departure. In the event such a cancellation occurs, all monies received will be refunded in full.


CANCELLATION CHARGES:
Written notice is required. The following amounts apply depending on when your travel agent advises us. 60 days prior to departure or more: $400.00 per person. 60 to 28 days prior to departure: 75% of tour costs. 28 or less to departure: 100% or deposit whichever is higher.


NO REFUNDS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER DEPARTURE.

REFUNDS:
No refunds will be accepted for any unused hotel accommodation, meals, transfers, sightseeing or any other services. No claims will be accepted at any time for the price adjustments due to devaluation of local currencies or any other reason what so ever. No refunds for no shows or any alteration made directly by the passenger with or without consent of H.L. holidays. Your full payment of tour quoted, represents your acceptance of such conditions.


PRICES:
Prices are per person, based on sharing a twin or double room with private bath or shower. Seaview rooms may have a supplement. Prices are based on tariffs and exchange rates in affect at the time of printing and subject to change. Tour figure includes a charge for making the reservations and for the costs of planning these trips. You pay,in effect for the convenienceof having reservations and for being able to prepay your land arrangements


THE ACCEPTANCE OF TICKETS AND/OR VOUCHERS SHALL BE DEEMED TO BE CONSENT TO THE ABOVE CONDITIONS

HOTELS:
H.L. holidays reserves the right to substitute hotels for ones of same category should it be necessary. The hotel ratings are established according to the standards of each particular country. Such standards may vary from one country to another, and generally are different from North American standards.
MOTORCOACHES:
The tour operator reserves the right to use minibuses, station wagonsor cars when the number of participants falls below 13 people.



RENTAL CARS:
Cars rented through H.L. holdays may include unlimited kms, C.D.W and VAT. If not it will be paid locally by the passenger. No refunds will be given for use of less than minimum time or mileage. Tolls,garaging,and gas are never included in car rental price. Minimum age of driver varies from country to country. Please check with your travel agent at time of booking. In most countries an international drivers license is required. We recommend all drivers to obtain one before departure.


HOLIDAY FLIGHTS:
All flight times are subject to change with or without prior notice. Should there be a flight time change H.L holidays will endeavor to notify you however,as a precaution, call the airline the day prior to your scheduled departure to confirm your flight, H.L holidays will endeavor to provide all services as booked, but the right is reserved to modify or change any flight, accommodation or arrangement at any time up 4 weeks before departure. If satisfactory alternative is not found, conditions under deposits and final payment will apply.


AIRLINES RESPONSIBILITIES: The airlines and carriers involved in these tours are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passengers contract in use by the airline concerned, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the purchaser of these tours and/ or the passenger. Similar responsibilityas noted applies to all other carriers involved, including rental car companies.


WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE USE OF CANCELLATION OR COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE. CHECK THE RATE WITH US.

BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE:
For transatlantic flights allowance is two bags not to exceed 273 cm or (107”) total dimensions, neither bag to exceed 158 cm or 32 kg (62”or 70lbs.) Plus a carry on baggage allowanceof 1 bag not to exceed 115 cm (45”). For flights within Europe, free baggage allowance is 20 kg(44 lbs total weight, including carry on). Charter flights have a different baggage allowance. Please check with your travel agent.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
H.L. holidays act as agents for companies, owners or contractors providing means of transportation, ACCOMMODATION and other services pertaining to the tours. All exchange orders, coupons and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditionsunder which such means of transportation, accommodation and other services are provided. H.L. holidays shall not be held liable for any injury, delays, substitution of equipment or any act of omission what so ever by the carrier(s), its agents, servants and employees and the passenger hereby waives claim against the tour operator arising there from. H.L. holidays reserves the right to decline, accept or retain any participant as a member of these tours at any time. If participant is removed from a tour, a proportionate refund for unused services will be made. The passenger waives any claim against H.L. holidays for any damage,or loss of property,injury or death of persons due to any act or negligence of any airline,hotel,auto rental company,or any other persons rendering services, and/or accommodation included in the air or land portion of the tour.
